Harold was born in Springfield, KY August 1945, joining the National Guard during his senior year in High School. After graduation, he attended U.S. Army training and then went to work for South Central Bell (later BellSouth).
Harold had dual careers. Thirty six years with BellSouth where he enjoyed many assignments in KY, AL, and GA, retiring in May of 2000 as a Manager in the Audit Department at BellSouth Corporate Headquarters. He also spent 38 years in the Army National Guard as an Artillery Officer, retiring at the rank of Colonel.
Harold earned a B.S. Degree from the University of Alabama, graduated from the U. S. Army War College, and earned a M.S. Degree in Management from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI.
After retirement from BellSouth he started his own management consulting company and later developed a Financial Planning practice. Harold was elected as Peachtree City’s 9th Mayor in 2005, and began his term in January 2006.
He served one year as Director of Special Projects for the Georgia Department of Education.
As a child, Logsdon was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Explorer Scout. As a young adult he served as Scout Master for the Scout Troop in Springfield, KY and later for the Scout Troop in Danville, KY. Over the years he has served in various civic organizations. Currently, Logsdon is a member of the American Legion, Flint River Council for the Boy Scouts of America, Fayette County Republican Party, Fayetteville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and YAARAB Shrine.
Logsdon enjoys golf in his free time. He and his wife, Ann, have lived in Peachtree City since 1996. They have two adult children and eight grandchildren.
